Dear collectors, just readers!
You are holding in your hands the first edition of the complete (to the extent possible at present) philatelic catalog of the DPR, which describes and catalogues the products released into circulation by the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass" in the period from the time of the formation of the Mail of Donbass to the present day.
The purpose of this study is to show the full range of postage stamps issued from the walls of the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass" of the Donetsk Republic since the implementation of postal communication and postal services, and to make a specialized cataloging of philatelic materials. Give a General idea of the material and, as far as possible, a detailed description of it, including a study not only of the features of manufacturing postage stamp, but also a description of the image and events that the release of the postage stamp was dedicated to. Unfortunately, due to objective reasons, the catalog cannot claim to provide information in full on the philatelic products considered in the catalog. The reluctance of the Ministry of communications of the DPR, SE "Mail Donbass" publish the orders about the release of stamps, covers, stamps, internal orders and directives to organize the activities of SE "Mail Donbass", to give information on the appearance of unique, short-run exclusive philatelic mail DPR (which, in General, justified by the military situation in the Republic), the reluctance to arrange for proper storage and disposal of defective products, as well as possible the human factor in the emergence of particular kinds of marriage is an exclusive small run editions of the post - all this has led to the fact that the catalog contains only fragmentary information about "unofficial" issues of the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass". This information will most likely not be included in the official catalog if the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass" as an Issuer issues it in paper form.
I have made an attempt to collect and show in the catalog all unknown to collectors, exclusive, low-circulation, conditional postal issues, as well as specially or unwittingly got into circulation types of defective philatelic material (meaning stamps without a cut, with stable varieties of drawing or image on stamps, with stable types of printing defects). I tried to show the stamps of new circulations, new plants of circulation, when official information was published about this, and in cases when there were no messages from the Post office of Donbass about these re-issues.
Please understand if something in the catalog was omitted and unaccounted for, but at the moment the necessary information was not found for display.
Of course, in the next reissues of the catalog missing information will be added and published.
As a catalog compiler, I count on the help of collectors and readers of the catalog. If you know something about the philatelic products of the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass" that are not listed in the catalog, please let me know by email: email@example.com
I also apologize for any typos, inaccuracies, or annoying errors if they are found. I will try to avoid them in the future.
I do not want to get into the disputes about what is postal or philatelic products, what is included in the definition of "postage stamps DPR", what should have been included in the directory, and what is not.
The catalog was not created to prove the postage of certain items, let philatelists and collectors decide for themselves. And to show all the variety of products related to philately and the DPR post that came out of the walls of the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass", while for me, as for the author, it does not matter whether this product was released officially or secretly. Various private issues that are not related to the state enterprise "Mail of Donbass" are not considered in the catalog.
The exception will be private FDCs, which will be reviewed and catalogued in one of the volumes. My task is to inform readers and catalog everything that is related to the Mail of Donbass, and this material has the right to be considered an official philatelic production - it is up to readers and future researchers to decide.
This catalog is planned to be published as a multi-volume publication!
In the following volumes, in the continuation, the following types of philatelic productions will be catalogued and presented:
4.2 Brand sheets of the DPR.
4.3 Broadband, DPR efficiency (Stamps and covers of the First day).
